On Saturday, January 31st, at the Holiday Inn of Midland, the Midland Firefighters Youth Foundation (MFFYF) will be hosting its 2026 Charity Ball.  This fundraising event will help us continue to enrich the lives of children in the Greater Midland community, contributing meaningfully to their future.    Helping children afford school supplies, attend summer camps, and offset the cost of school-related academic and athletic team expenses are just a few ways the Youth Foundation has supported local children over the years.  Our motto is, “Children are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate.”  We have raised more than $65,000 in past events and are very excited about continuing that success.  Last year’s Charity Ball raised over $25,000 in profit, making it our most successful event to date, and our tickets sold out over a week before the event.  We are expecting another 200 people to attend this year.

This public event is open to all!  Tickets are $60 a piece and include a buffet dinner provided by Holiday Inn staff as well as an open bar from 5:00 pm (when doors open) to 10:00 pm, with a cash bar to run until the event ends at 11:00 pm.  An online silent auction will be running during the event, featuring donations from local businesses and organizations throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.  Music will be provided by Nightlife Entertainment, and an ‘Enchanted’ mirror photo booth will be available as well.

 

The MFFYF is made up of firefighters from the Midland Professional Firefighters Local 1315 union, and they work for the City of Midland, Michigan.  It is a 501(c)(3) organization, so any donation made will be tax-deductible.
