Scholarship Programs
The Midland Firefighter's Youth Foundation has created two separate scholarship programs for high-school and college-aged students within the State of Michigan. These memorial scholarships not just provide financial support for students seeking higher education, but also preserve the legacy of those who helped create them.
The Greg Schmidt and Rodney Sweet Memorial Scholarship was created to award a $1,000 financial award to a resident of Michigan who is actively pursuing a college or technical degree in Fire Science or Emergency Medical Services.
The Timothy A. Longlet Memorial Scholarship provides a financial award of $1,000 to a Michigan Resident who is pursuing a college or technical degree and has a parent or guardian whose life has been affected by cancer.
